Embarrassing and Architecture
I've done some embarrassing things in life. I'm not necessarily ashamed, because I blame my chin implant and chin problems for causing not only the chronic depression but bad judgment and ill decision making. I tried dating apps following my return home, and let's say unexpected things have happened. On a brighter note, I've come across Koreans from Paris and New York. Dating apps have revolutionized "dating" and made meeting new people easier and quicker. At the same time, you can keep your standards and not lose integrity throughout the process, which isn't necessarily what I've done but it's a learning process. The way they engineered "dating" is funny. I had a strange encounter with the "dating" app and so it's best to be smart and wise if capable unlike myself. I typically have "street smarts" but again, I blame my chin problems for causing the lack of astuteness that's needed when trying a dating app. I also came across a Korean jerk (not uncommon) from Paris, France using the same "dating" app where I encountered a married man with kids. I don't know, mishaps happen to the best of us. Dating app engineers created this medium and so I blame them too.
I kind of want to detail all the things that happened when I moved to NYC for school, but there's so much that it's hard to characterize and describe what all occurred. It was a dynamic time in my life, like the move to Rio de Janeiro was. So enjoyable.
I never knew my maternal grandfather because he died early from an accident in Seoul, SK. On a recent trip to SK, I met my mom's cousin through her father's side. Her daughter was in NYC while I was there studying but she was there to continue her education in architecture and even worked at an architecture firm there. She now works for her dad's architecture firm in Seoul, SK. Architecture is an interesting major. I thought about studying architecture at UC Berkeley, but I wasn't able to complete the major requirements even though I had college calculus credit from high school and from Fresno State. As you all know, I ended up choosing Political Science as my college major, which wasn't expected since I had dedicated a lot of my time prior to college on music and math classes and had picked Economics as my intended major. Through the Political Science field of study, I definitely learned a lot thanks to my college professors. I wouldn't say I use my college major now but it comes to use once in a while. Nonetheless, I'm quite fascinated by the architecture field of study. Making connections with family in Seoul is nice. Doing so enlarges my connections, which is helpful for work purposes, and family connections are just overall good to take pride in.
