Places to eat in SF... or LA

Here are some places I want to try in SF/Bay Area: Mensho Tokyo, Toast N' Egg, Sul & Beans. Since Mensho Tokyo opened a spot in Culver City, I can actually go to LA and get the same eats or ones similar. What places are on your to-do list of places to eat?

This summer, I'm looking forward to doing nothing and relaxing. It's been awhile since I've cherished an actual summer break. I've always had something scheduled, like an internship or classes. But this summer, I'm really going to do nothing and keep a freer schedule.

As I've written about, I have a surgery upcoming in two weeks. I'm putting a lot of faith into this procedure, although I'm considering that I could be disappointed as well. I just want this procedure to turn out in the way I envision. My face has become disfigured since the chin implant removal, and it's been a problem, an eyesore of some sort to say the least. I'm putting my faith into the hands of a different surgeon, and hope for the best outcome.

I'll be traveling to Pomona for this procedure. I don't think I've ever been to Pomona, so this will be a bit of an adventure. Perhaps, en route to or from, we'll stop by LA Koreatown.

I had an idea of how to spend this summer, besides finding work shifts here and there. I thought to spend this summer brushing up or learning a foreign language. It seemed like a grand idea, until I realized I get headaches these days when I expend too much mental energy. And we all know that learning a foreign language isn't easy.

I also mentioned I want to try Emma Chamberlain's cafe in Century City mall. I have so many places that I want to try, but without my own car, it'll be difficult. Once I have my own car, I'll have the liberty to try out these places on my own free time. For now, I'm restricted by my parents' schedules. I also want to find a good Japanese sando spot, either in SF or LA.

I'm especially looking forward to Japanese ramen at Mensho Tokyo. I applied to a craigslist job ad at their Pinterest HQ location in SF but wasn't able to interview since I wasn't located in SF and was applying from Fresno. Having found out they recently opened in Culver City, I'm excited to try it out. I've had Japanese ramen in Fresno at various locations. Hayashi Ramen is the most popular place to get Japanese ramen in Fresno/Clovis but I have higher expectations for Mensho Tokyo since it is Japanese owned and the owner comes from Tokyo. Japanese ramen in the winter is like Korean nengmyun in the summer. It feels good.

To justify why I'm not at work today, I had to schedule a doctor's appointment for this afternoon. As a substitute teacher, I must be available during all shift hours. Since I'd have to leave during a shift today, I just cancelled the assignment.
