Teaching 5th grade

I woke up this morning and found my eyeglasses broken in half. Since I need my eyeglasses and couldn't think to find my backup eyeglasses, I canceled today's teaching assignment, which was for 5th grade. In lieu, I read passages from the Bible. I have a very special Bible that's geared towards women. Passages of the Bible are organized in such a way as to provide daily readings for the women. Today's passage was broken down into passages from Judges, Luke, and Psalms. I feel that I've read the Bible many times, and it could get boring. But, there's always something to be reminded of, like God's provision to the Israelites during war against their enemies  and hardship.

My surgery is coming up on next Wednesday. My dad booked a hotel in Pomona, so I'll be staying there with my dad on Tuesday prior to the day of the surgery. As the surgery day creeps up, I find myself becoming nervous. I'm nervous about the procedure and the outcome of the procedure. I'm not sure how drastic or subtle the procedure will be. I'm hoping the surgery will be effective in eliminating the complications that I've had. Otherwise, it'll be a waste of $10,000.
